Basil is one of my all-favourite herb...Hello again!<br />Basil is one of my all-favourite herbs - there's nothing to beat that smell when you rub a leaf between your fingers, or that flavour when you add it to a tomato salad! But it's annoying to have to get through the winter without it! If you're looking for hardier herbs (which, incidentally, all do well in containers), I strongly recommend mint: it lasts forever and needs very little care.
